Fanfic Attempt!

Shade wanted me to post a fanfic on this blog, so here's the beginning of one. This is my first attempt at writing a fanfic, so if it's not particularly good, that's why. Also, it contains spoilers for Tales of Symphonia. Beware! And sorry it's so long...

"Wow! This is so cool!" Lloyd Irving shouted as he ran through Derris-Kharlan.
"He certainly is enthusiastic," said Kratos Aurion. Following the defeat of the evil Mithos Yggdrasil, Kratos had planned to leave Symphonia. However, his son Lloyd convinced him to give him and his friends a tour of Derris-Kharlan first.
"He's always enthusiastic. That's why he's always the first to get bored," said Genis Sage, Lloyd's best friend. He dashed away in pursuit of Lloyd.
"Wait for me!" Colette Brunel called as she ran after her friends.
Genis's sister Raine shook her head. "Why do they keep running ahead? If they went slower, I'd be able to tell them all about Derris-Kharlan's fascinating history!"
Lloyd paused before a door with a Do Not Enter sign. "Hey! I wonder what's in here!" As Genis and Colette caught up to him, Lloyd opened the door. "Wow! Look at this! The room's full of those devices that change the function of the Sorcerer's Ring!"
"Wow! That's great! Oops!" Colette tripped as she ran into the room. She bumped into Lloyd, causing him to fall against the nearest device. A bright flash of light indicated the Sorcerer's Ring's function had changed.
"Lloyd, don't do anything! Let's wait for Kratos and the others. There's probably a reason that door said 'do not enter'," Genis said, looking around suspiciously.
"Aww! Can't we just see what the ring does?" Lloyd asked. Without waiting for Genis's answer, he tested the ring. There was another bright flash of light that caused all three of them to shut their eyes. When they opened them, they were no longer in Derris-Kharlan. They were in the middle of a place filled with people and stores.
"You idiot! I told you not to do anything! Get back here!" Genis yelled as he ran after Lloyd, who had gone to investigate one of the nearby stores. Colette followed her friends.
A few minutes later, Genis and Colette had once again caught up with Lloyd. He was in a video game store, staring at a game called "Tales of Symphonia".
"This is getting too weird. Let's use the Sorcerer's Ring to get back to Derris-Kharlan," Genis suggested.
Lloyd turned his attention away from the strange game. "Yeah, good idea," he said as he reached for his Sorcerer's Ring. A moment later, he gasped. "Uh-oh. The Sorcerer's Ring is gone!"
Meanwhile, three friends were taking a break after playing Dance Dance Revolution for three hours. Bookworm, Shade, and Keyblade Alchemist sat outside the mall's arcade, feeling completely exhausted. Bookworm, who had the most energy left because she preferred the easier levels of DDR, stood up and started to walk toward a nearby store when she noticed something shiny on the floor. "Hey! What's this?" she said as she picked up a strange ring. Suddenly, there was a bright flash of light that caused all three to shut their eyes. When they opened them, they were not in the mall. They were in a room full of function-changing devices. Kratos was glaring angrily at them. *to be continued as soon as I decide what happens next*
