Bending!

“Who are you anyway?” Sokka asked, looking confused.
“I’m Keyblade,” said Keyblade. “The dragon is Indigo. The one who just got hit with the water is Bookworm. And this is Shade…” She looked around. Shade had vanished. “Why does she always wander away?”
“Because she’s evil,” Bookworm answered Keyblade’s rhetorical question.
“So what are you doing?” Aang asked, curious about these strange people.
“We’re looking for our friend Mithos. He’s a tall guy with a shiny sword. Have you seen him?” Bookworm asked.
“No, but you can travel with us while you’re looking for him, if you want,” Aang said.
“Really? Cool!” Keyblade said excitedly.
“Can we hurry up? If we want to get to the Fire Nation in time for the Eclipse, we need to start moving,” Toph said impatiently. So, they all left the city and rode Appa, the flying bison, toward the Fire Nation.
Meanwhile, Shade had gone to Ba Sing Se. She went to the Earth Nation Palace. There were many guards, all determined to prevent Shade entering. It did not take long to get rid of all of them. Shade was disappointed that they had not provided more of a challenge. She proceeded into the throne room.
Princess Azula was discussing her plan for conquering the Water Nation with her brother, Prince Zuko, and her friends, Ty Lee and Mai. Noticing an intruder, Azula sent a bolt of lightning at Shade.
Shade’s magical defenses deflected this attack. She grinned. “Fireball!” A fireball hit Azula, turning her into a pile of scorched goo. Everyone stared in silence at the Azula-goo. Shade turned to Zuko. “If you don’t want to end up like her, teach me fire-bending now!”
Zuko did not like being threatened. But Azula had been his best chance of restoring his honor. Without her, he’d have to try to capture the avatar again. He had tried this many times, but had yet to succeed. This person had to be very powerful to defeat Azula. With her help, maybe he could finally capture Aang. Besides, the idea of being a pile of goo wasn’t very appealing. “Fine, I will teach you fire-bending. But you’ll have to learn while traveling. I need to capture the avatar.” Shade nodded in agreement. While searching for Aang, she could also look for Mithos. She wanted to cause him as much pain as possible for daring to be more powerful and more evil than her.
Azula’s friends had been silent so far, but now Ty Lee finally spoke. “Wow! Azula’s so gooey!” She poked the pile of goo. “Hey! I’ve got an idea! Since Azula’s goo now, can we go with you?”
“Yeah, that would be better than just doing nothing. I’m so bored here,” Mai complained.
“Okay, you can come,” Shade said. “I have minions now! MUAHAHAHAHA!”
Meanwhile, Aang and friends had stopped for lunch. Bookworm and Keyblade were helping Katara make soup.
“Can you hurry up? I’m starving!” Sokka wailed dramatically.
“Shut up, Sokka,” Keyblade said, motioning for him to be quiet. As she moved her hand, some of the soup moved too. It flew into the air and hit Sokka in the face.
“AAAAAAAAHHH! It’s hot! Get it off! Get it off!” Sokka screamed. Katara hit him with some water. This cooled him off, but left him dripping wet and in a very bad mood.
“Why didn’t you tell us you can water bend?” Katara asked.
“I can water bend!?!” Keyblade asked in amazement.
“I wanna try water-bending too!” Bookworm said excitedly. Indigo ran for cover. Keyblade moved away from Bookworm. The others didn’t know Bookworm as well, so they did not realize that it was a good idea to seek shelter now. Bookworm waved her hand over the soup. Nothing happened. She waved it again. Still, nothing happened. Bookworm waved her hand faster and more irritably. Her hand accidentally hit the soup, knocking some in her face. Getting hit in the face with hot soup is a very painful experience. Unable to see because of the soup in her eyes, Bookworm ran around randomly, screaming in a loud high-pitched voice and waving her arms. As she waved her arms, some nearby rocks flew up in the air and pelted Sokka, Katara, Aang, and Toph. As the shower of rocks fell down on them, they all started running around screaming too.
Keyblade finally came out of hiding to bend some water at Bookworm. It hit her in the face, washing the soup out of her eyes and cooling her off. Bookworm finally stood still. This caused the rocks to finally return to the ground. Bookworm looked around in confusion. “Why were the rocks flying?”
Katara stared at Keyblade and Bookworm in amazement. “You two definitely need to learn to control your bending powers.”
“Bending powers?” Bookworm remembered the flying rocks. “Are you saying I can earth bend?
“I guess we’ll have to teach them,” Toph said. Katara nodded.
“We’re gonna learn bending!!!” Keyblade and Bookworm cheered.
