Thirsty
While Bookworm was staring stupidly at a giant owl spirit about to bite her head off, Mithos was wandering through the desert. He was very bored. He had mastered the skills of air bending and had been looking forward to using them to attack those humans. Unfortunately, after just one attack, they all disappeared. He was sure they would return soon, but he was still bored while waiting.
To entertain himself, he decided to watch some of the other Mithos’s memories. It was interesting to see what all his enemies were doing lately. It was also pretty entertaining to watch the other Mithos get knocked unconscious or be turned to goo or fall flat on his face. At first Mithos considered getting revenge on everyone who had knocked him unconscious, but he soon realized that this was impossible because so many people had done this. He eventually decided to just get revenge on the other Mithos’s friends and the traitors who had killed Martel.
Maybe one of those girls could be used as a vessel for Martel… he wondered absentmindedly. He felt a sharp pain in his heart as he remembered that his sister was dead. He had been denying her death for thousands of years, so now he was having a hard time accepting the fact that she really was gone.
Mithos glared at the sand in the direction that Bookworm and friends had disappeared. Why were they taking so long? Glancing around, he spotted a cactus. It wasn’t doing anything wrong, just innocently living in the desert. Mithos decided to take his frustration out on this cactus. He ran over to it and slashed it several times with his sword. After completing this pointless activity, he noticed that the cactus had water inside it.
“Great!” He filled his water bottle with the liquid from the cactus. He had been running out of water, but now he had enough to last several days. When his water bottle was full, he drank a few sips of the juice. He was pleased to discover that it was both delicious and thirst-quenching. The pupils of his eyes grew large. A dopey grin spread across his face. Mithos was now drunk on cactus juice.
